Lenmar DVD Player Battery Offers 50% Longer Movie Play

CAMARILLO, Calif. – September 1, 2003 – Lenmar Enterprises, Inc., a leading manufacturer of rechargeable batteries, battery chargers and accessories for consumer electronics, today announced a new high capacity replacement battery for portable DVD players. The new extended life battery is a direct replacement for Panasonic’s CGP-H501 battery and offers longer viewing times at lower cost.

An addition to Lenmar’s trademarked NoMEM battery line, the DVDP501 features a capacity of 6800mAh, more than 50% greater than the manufacturer’s standard DVD player battery. The added capacity results in up to 7 1/2 hours of uninterrupted viewing time.

“Most DVD player owners purchase additional batteries, especially those who travel frequently,” stated Marty Goldberg, Lenmar CEO. “Our new long life replacement battery significantly extends operating time and makes DVD viewing more enjoyable.”

Lenmar’s DVD player battery is charged on the device and is compatible with Panasonic player models including the LX9, LA95, LA85, LV75, LV65, LV55, LV50, PA65, and PV55.

Lenmar has set a $179.95 MSRP on the Model DVD P501 battery which will be available directly and through its BatteryCentral.com reseller web site. The company also indicates that it is seeking interested OEM partners.
